The Heroes Nobody Wanted: Nominating the "Best" of the Worst Activism 📢
It’s that time of year! While every other publication in Jacksonville is busy handing out "Best Of" awards to people who actually try, we’re taking a different approach. Welcome to the nomination period for The Worst Of JAX 2025.
Our first category is Activism 🚩, because nothing says "Jacksonville" like a group of people loudly demanding change that somehow makes everything slightly worse. We’re looking for the movers, the shakers, and the people who should probably just sit down for a minute.
Help us crown the champions of incompetence in the following subcategories:
Worst Local Activist / Advocate: Who is the loudest voice in the room with the smallest amount of logic? 📣
Worst Environmental Group: For the folks saving the planet one confusing protest at a time. 🌳❌
Worst Social Cause Organization: Because some "causes" are really just expensive hobbies. 🎭
Worst Police Station: Which precinct is consistently providing that five-star "do not recommend" service? 🚔
Worst Fire Station: Even the heroes can have a bad day—or a bad year. 🔥🚒
Worst Community Non-Profit / Charity: For the organizations where the "non-profit" part is the only thing they’re good at. 💸
Don't let these local legends go unrecognized. Head over to our nomination form and let the grievances flow. After all, if they didn't want to be on this list, they should have tried harder—or perhaps, much less. 📉
