Luxor Club Residents Discover "All-Inclusive" Means Both Granite Counters and Gunfights
If you thought the "Luxor" in Luxor Club Apartments implied a relaxing Egyptian-themed spa day, think again. The Bartram Park area—usually reserved for people who think living near a Kohl’s is a personality trait—became the latest venue for Jacksonville’s favorite pastime: a JSO shootout.
The Tesla Takedown: The evening’s festivities began around 8:30 p.m. when witnesses saw a woman screaming and banging on the hood of a Tesla. 🏎️💃
The Return: After briefly driving away, 34-year-old Daniel Rodriguez returned to the scene with a gun, apparently deciding that the "resort-style atmosphere" needed more ballistic energy. 🔫🔄
Officer Efficiency: Officers J. Rodrick (a veteran of two shootings) and J. Milam (celebrating his first!) attempted to get "his side of the story". When Rodriguez pulled a gun from his waistband, the officers responded with a synchronized performance that resulted in Rodriguez being transported to a hospital where he died. 🚑🎯
Amenity Update: While Luxor Club's website boasts "beach-entry pools" and "dog agility parks," it has yet to update its list to include "spontaneous tactical drills" or "complimentary bullet holes in your neighbor’s car". 🏊♂️🐕
Resident Review: "Empty, I'm destroyed," said Rodriguez's wife, though the surrounding neighbors were mostly just confused that the "bam-bam-bam" wasn't a delayed New Year's firework display. 🎆❓

"The granite countertops are lovely and the 'The Fort' pavilion is a great place to meet neighbors, but the move-in packet didn't mention I'd need a Kevlar vest to check my mail. The JSO response time is excellent, but they really scuffed up the asphalt in the guest parking. 4/5 stars—would be 5 if the Tesla was bulletproof." 🚗💨
